News: Fury of Five Release Music Video for ‘Cold Day In Hell’

Fury of Five

Fury of Five, the legendary East Coast hardcore punk outfit, premiered their new music video for Cold Day in Hell last Friday through Upstate Records. The song features Phil “Vibez” Vasquez of NYC’s Irate, adding a sharp punch of harsh metal vocals into the mix.

Fury of Five started in the hardcore scene three decades ago. Since putting out their first full-length album At War With The World in 1998, they have continuously pushed boundaries with each follow up release in an effort to ever-evolve their sound. Cold Day in Hell incorporates their nihilistic punk roots while shifting gears into a fast-paced metallic thrash crossover. Maintaining their unambiguous lyrical delivery, Cold Day in Hell is nothing less than a relentless aural assault to the ears.

Stikman, the band’s front man and vocalist, describes the meaning behind the single: “Cold Day in Hell is a reminder to all that we live and breathe hardcore. Shutting down any thought process that our hard work will be overshadowed by one who did not put in any of the work but taking the credit.”

The music video came out along with their two-song EP entitled Blood Storm which casts listeners into an apocalyptic fever dream. The band are riled up and psyched to perform live shows throughout the rest of the year. You can be assured that they won’t be slowing down any time soon.

To commemorate their 30-year anniversary of bandom, Fury of Five will be playing a show in their home state of New Jersey at Salty’s Beach Bar in Lake Como. The group will be performing alongside guest bands Dmize, Combust, Freight Train, Gloves Off, Blackest Dawn, and Tear Gas.
