Texan hard rock crew Lift The Curse have unveiled their new album, Suffer & Survive. The duo’s sophomore record is a collision of thunderous, metal-influenced riffs and fist pumping choruses.
With influences spanning metalcore, pop punk, and more, Suffer & Survive digs deep on growing up, relationships, and choosing positivity in the face of adversity.
Comprised of Jon Yadon Jr. and Ryan Hegefeld, Lift The Curse fuse hard rock tones, filthy breakdowns, and veracious melodies. Anchored by the longtime friends’ inherent chemistry, the band marry influence from across metal, rock, and pop.
Yadon Jr. and Hegefield cut their teeth in former project TrineATX, who saw success across Texas. Fast forward to 2022, and Lift The Curse were born with the release of debut single “Rise With The Flames.”
The band released a quickfire string of singles throughout the second half 2022, with “Take Me Under” and “The Color Brave,” showcasing a project that puts songwriting front and center. Alternative rock intonations, pummeling riffs and unforgettable hooks all sitting at the core of Lift The Curse’s soundscape.
Lift The Curse’s popularity continued to hit new heights, with “The Debt” racking up over 120,000 streams in less than a month. Following on from the blistering “Tidal Wave” and an expertly executed cover of “(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight,” the two Texans continue to deliver their refreshingly positive brand of melodic hard rock on their new full-length.
Suffer & Survive is a potent collection of tracks that marry expert storytelling with technical wizardry. Lift The Curse remain accessible but perennially honest on the new release.
