News: Harvestman Release Video for ‘Herne’s Oak’

Harvestman

Harvestman have released a video for the track “Herne’s Oak” from forthcoming record Triptych: Part Three, set for release October 17.

If you’re not familiar with Harvestman, you might just recognize him as the alter ego of Steve Von Till from the band Neurosis. The music for “Herne’s Oak” is deeply rooted in nature and ambient soundscape while the video for this track is more psychedelically tinged, similar to a previous video Harvestman did for the song “Galvanized and Torn Open” from Triptych: Part Two.

Steve Von Till states:

“‘Herne’s Oak’ is the third track Dave French and I composed on the old torn open steel water tank I accidentally destroyed with my snow plow a few winters back. What began as a few simple beats accompanied by scraping the steel tank with deer antlers morphed into something entirely different and infinitely more atmospheric once we handed it over to our friend, Sanford Parker. He took the few elements we provided, re-contextualized them, added his own, and crafted an ultra-moody mix. The subsonic void moments get me every time I hear it.”

Triptych Part One was released on the Pink Moon on April 23; Part Two was released on the Buck Moon on July 21, and now, the cycle closes with the release of Part Three on October 17  to coincide with the Hunter Moon.
