London’s High Vis have announced a new album, Guided Tour, due to release October 18 via Dais Records. With the new album’s announcement, a new single, “Mind’s A Lie,” has also been dropped! A music video has arrived to accompany the new track that was shot throughout South East London. It was both written and directed by Martina Pastori, as well as features the Welsh movement artist, Sem Osian and a cameo from vocalist Graham Sayle in the boxing ring. The visuals within explore themes of class, isolation and loneliness.

The newest track marks a new sonic territory for the band via synthesizing inspirations from house, garage and Pirate Radio into a dance-punk anthem. “Mind’s A Lie” takes a stab at sampled female vocals that have been celebrated by the South London singer and DJ, Ell Murphy has built into a razor wire rhythm of low-lung bass and sparkling guitar before the addition of Graham Sayle’s staunch vocals bark harsh truths.
Graham Sayle speaks about the music video for “Mind’s A Lie”:
“I wanted to look at how quickly negative habits can take control when you lack a positive or constructive outlet for your energy. While the language of mental health provision has foundd fertile around in the churn of social media, access to essential services has been decimated by the indifference of successive Tory governments. Further division has been stoked through governmental rhetoric and media scapegoating. Without adequate support in times of crisis, life can quickly spiral into an angry and isolated existence.”
In other news, High Vis have announced a headlining tour in Europe and the United Kingdom. It’ll be taking place in November and December of 2024, then picking up back in February of 2025. They’re going to be receiving support from Pain of Truth during the first half, and Narrowhead during the second.
In more recent times, they will be going on tour across North America in the fall of 2024. They are going to be support for Show Me The Body across their CORPUS GROWS North American Tour. Additional support from BIB, Special Interest, ZelooperZ, Bearcat, and HiTech will be provided on select dates. The run with Show Me The Body will follow their various festival performances on a global scale. However they will first be joining a run of showss in Australia this August and September alongside Pain of Truth and Fuse.
