Jon Snodgrass has announced that his upcoming album, Tace, which means “shhh” in Latin, is set to arrive October 9 through A-F Records.

“I think people need to listen more, including me,” says Snodgrass. “It’s my version of Mark Twain’s ‘Never miss a good chance to shut up.’”

According to Snodgrass, Tace is an homage to the artists who inspired him to make music, including The Beatles, ALL, Uncle Tupelo, The Replacements, Hüsker Dü, Thin Lizzy, Warren Zevon, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Cheap Trick, The Cure, X, and Jawbreaker.

The album has an impressive lineup of guest vocalists including John Moreland, Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Joey Cape (Lagwagon, Bad Astronaut), Stephen Egerton (Descendents, ALL), Stacey Dee (Bad Cop/Bad Cop), and Derek Zanetti (The Homeless Gospel Choir).

Snodgrass is a founding member of Armchair Martian, Drag The River, and the supergroup Scorpios. He recently appeared on episode #318 of The Mike Herrera Podcast. His lead single “Renaissance Man” is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.
