News: Kathleen Hanna Announces 2024 Book Tour

Feminist punk trailblazer and icon, Kathleen Hanna—frontwoman for the great feminist bands Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, and The Julie Ruin—announced the book tour for her new memoir Rebel Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk.

The book will be released on May 14 from Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins. In the book, she talks about the evolution of her bands, her relationships with punk legends from Ian McKaye to Joan Jett to Kurt Cobain, her marriage to Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz from the Beastie Boys, as well as her debilitating struggle with late-stage Lyme disease.

A portion of the proceeds from the book tour will go to benefit Peace Sisters, a nonprofit that Hanna is an ambassador for which empowers girls in Togo, West Africa through education. Fans who can’t attend one of her tour dates in person will have the option of joining the live stream on May 22. Check out the full list of dates below.
