Prolific Rock n’ Roll musician who performed in the musical group The Exploding Hearts—and who, before his death in February of 2022, released a handful of solo albums—King Louie Bankston, has posthumously released a single off of his upcoming album Harahan Fats out Nov. 10 via Goner Records.
Following the first single off of the release, “Trinkets,” comes, “Gone Too Far,” which was released yesterday. The track gives yet another glimpse into the final album from the famous Louisiana artist. Before his death, the artist envisioned Harahan Fats as a 22 song release on cassette. Next month, along with a digital release of the album, Goner Records is set to release a limited edition “Director’s Cut” double cassette, as Bankston intended.
The album is a culmination of songs recorded over a four-year period that is a display of where Bankston was at in his songwriting and personal identity. It is a true glance into the talents and complexities of a beloved rock n’ roll star.
