Brooklyn-based heavy power pop group Onesie have released a new single called “What You Kill.” It’s the first single off of the group’s upcoming third studio album, Liminal Hiss, which will be released on August 18 as a joint release from Totally Real Records, Pillow Sail Records, and Kool Kat Music.
With the release of the single comes a music video from Turkish 3D artist Ertugrul Yaka. Explaining why they chose Yaka for the video, the band’s singer and guitarist Ben Haberland says: “I loved the animated video he did for Julia Shapiro a few years back. When it came time to bring this darker Onesie song to life, I DM-ed Ertugrual and we started corresponding on the concept over a couple months. It’s ironic how our language and distance barrier was transcended by the very technology that can make us so miserable. His work really captures what I was feeling when I wrote the song.”
