San Diego’s Se Vende arw gearing up to release their seven-inch vinyl in collaboration with No Stones, out August 14. The seven-inch will be a limited edition black-and-white vinyl including songs “Cable Street” and “All Gone Wrong.”
Of the release, the band say, “We wrote these songs way back in 2011 when we were staying at a house some young punks were living at. They saw us on the street one night; they asked us if we could buy them beer, so we did, and then said we could stay there. Before that, our squat got boarded up by the cops, and we were too sketched out on meth to break in again.”
The songs touch on the band’s struggles with substance abuse and how life got them to a place of reliance on drugs. The band speak from a perspective that’s removed from addiction, one of healing and self reflection.
