News: The Good Life’s ‘Black Out’ Gets 20th Anniversary Tape Release

In celebration of The Good Life’s sophomore album, Black Out, Saddle Creek have reissued the record on cassette for the first time. Initially a solo project for Cursive’s Tim Kasher, Black Out, helped to establish the project as a fully-fledged and distinctive band.

Like Cursive, The Good Life expanded emo’s dark and brooding moods to a more expansive palette. On Black Out, the conventional rock band is complemented by electronics and orchestral instrumentation.

The tape, featuring a six-panel J-card with fully lyrics and photos of the band from that era, is a limited edition of 200 magnolia-colored cassettes.
