Swiss trash-garage legends The Monsters have officially announced their 10th studio album, Off The Road We Go!, slated to arrive via Voodoo Rhythm Records. To celebrate the announcement, the fuzz-drenched chainsaw-garage quartet dropped their new single, “You Got Me Going,” giving us a high-octane taste of what’s to come from the record. The milestone release holds special significance for the standard-bearers of primitive rock ‘n’ roll, as this year marks an astonishing 40 years of uncompromising noise, distorted riffs, and wild stage antics since the Bernese quartet formed in 1986.
The new single lands right on the threshold of a major touring milestone for the veteran Swiss outfit. Tomorrow night, The Monsters launch their long-awaited first-ever U.S. East Coast tour with a kickoff show in New York City at TV Eye, bringing four decades of relentless, primitive garage-punk power directly to American shores. Between celebrating 40 years of chaos, rolling out a landmark decade of full-length albums, and tearing through their debut East Coast run, the band is proving they are nowhere near hitting the brakes. Pre-orders for Off The Road We Go are running through Voodoo Rhythm Records.
