Long-running SoCal punks The Vandals are preparing to release the 25th anniversary edition of their now classic album, Live Fast, Diarrhea. The record will drop on August 14 via Craft Recordings and will appropriately be pressed on explosive brown splatter vinyl. Pre-order several different options here.

Originally issued by Nitro Records in 1995, The Vandals’ fourth album was full of the band’s trademark humor and catchy hooks. It was a bit of a breakthrough for the band and even spawned their second-ever video for their cover of The Simpletones’ “I Have a Date.”

Founding drummer and current bassist Joe Escalante says, “Revisiting Live Fast, Diarrhea 25 years later is surreal in the fact that it reflects a time when we just didn’t care.” He adds, “For the first time, we decided to make a record for ourselves, with no outside money, interference or agenda.”

The Vandals formed in Huntington Beach back in 1980 and have released 10 studio albums. While Escalante is the only remaining original member, the current lineup of singer Dave Quackenbush, guitarist Warren Fitzgerald, Escalante, and drummer Josh Freese has been in place since the late ’80s.
