In support of their fourth full-length, Orifical Purge, old-school death metal purveyors Vastum have announced a run of 2020 tour dates. The first of these will be as one of the main headline acts at the Shadow Frost Music & Arts Festival in Fredrick, Maryland between February 21 and 22.

They will be joined by the likes of Deceased, Darsombra, and label mates Magic Circle alongside guitarist/vocalist Leila Abdul-Rauf performing a set from her solo ambient project.

VASTUM Tour Dates
2/21-22/2020 Shadow Frost Music & Arts Festival – Frederick, MD [info]
3/19/2020 Astoria – Vancouver, BC
3/20/2020 The Highline – Seattle, WA
3/21/2020 Star Theatre – Portland, OR
8/01-02/2020 Migration Fest @ Mr. Small’s Theatre – Pittsburgh, PA [info]

Vastum is also one of the first acts to be confirmed for 2020’s Migration Fest. A yearly get-together created by two fine, underground metal labels, Vastum will be joined alongside names such as Mizmor, Kowloon Walled City, label mates Tomb Mold and Obsequiae, and many more.

Each member of Vastum have performed in myriad other underground metal groups, including Necrot, Ulthar, Cardinal Wyrm, among others, and their most recent offering is an amalgam of their dedication to the scene. It’s a death-doom classic with all the horrors and anxieties of both the physical and metaphysical.

Orificial Purge was released in October through 20 buck Spin, and is available to purchase HERE.
