Video Premiere: CardiaC – “Adicto A La Vida”

CardiaC band 2017

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of CardiaC’s music video for their song “Adicto A La Vida” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s album Sangrar Hasta Lograrlo, which is available through Tenacity Music on iTunes and Bandcamp.

The band comments on the song/video:

“When I wrote this song with the band, I thought there was no future or hope in the way I lived my life and the only way I could keep it up was to keep moving forward a day after another. Pushing things on a daily basis, giving the best of me every day, being aware that victory lies in details, all these inner fights were held believing that one day my life would change. Hard work always pays off.

I guess the message of our new album is pretty obvious, ‘Sangrar Hasta Lograrlo’ which can be translated as “bleeding until you make it.” Showing a woman with no experience in boxing getting ready for a fight with such dedication was the best way to emphasize that no matter how weak you may feel in front of an obstacle you can always overcome it if you work hard enough. Boxing is a beautiful art that I like a lot, mostly because it has all the symbolism of life.”

Having formed in 2000, Swiss four-piece group CardiaC blend such diverse styles as rock’n’roll, hardcore, metal and stoner-rock to distill a groovy and punchy sound, but it’s the Spanish words sung by Ricardo Chimichanaga that gives them a very unique and distinct flavour.

Comprised by Bastien C. Antony (drums), Cédric Nicolet (bass), Julien Emery (guitar), Mariano Martin (guitar) and the aforementioned Ricardo Chimichanaga (vocals), CardiaC have released five full-lengths and two EPs to date, which garnered some enthusiastic reactions from both press and fans, and allowed them to play numerous shows in Europe, Central and North America, where they shared the stage with great bands like Sepultura, Crucified Barbara, Sick Of It All, Dover, Biohazard, Brujeria, Jello Biafra and The G.S.M, Madball, Exodus, etc…

The band’s most recent album Sangrar Hasta Lograrlo was released in early 2016 was recorded at Ignition Prod Studio & Downtone Studio, mixed by Thomas “Drop” Betrisey (Samael & Sybreed) and features ten tracks of groovy and intense hardcore-tinged southern metal.
