Fuck The Crotches!
A phrase guaranteed to be heard at their shows, split partially between jest and sincerity. It’s also the name of the Vegas expats’ new record, a name that guitarist Amitkes shrugs as satisfying both sides of The Crotches’ coin.
“In this economy, no matter what you do, people will either love you or hate you, and this title seemed to appeal to everyone”.
With The Crotches recently embarking on their first extensive US tour, the phrase will percolate nightly from the stage throughout each venue they plug into across the US West Coast during the Summer. Fuck The Crotches will be released on Friday across all digital platforms, with the band releasing the album’s third video single, “Procrastination,” beforehand.
A minimalist production shot entirely with an iPhone, in the Nevadan ghost town of Nelson, featuring their BBL-laden mascot, Dickey Mouse, out in the sweltering wild (that’s Nevada in June for you) among the abandoned dwellings. When asked about the song, the brothers point out it’s their ode to American culture they experienced both from afar and up close, through the cartoons they grew up watching, the excessive cursing, and the prevalent nicotine use.
