Track Premiere: Amusement – ‘Amusement’

Amusement

West Coast punks Amusement are preparing a bevy of new releases, including a brand-new, three-song seven-inch EP via Dirt Cult Records, and a 12-inch for Brassneck Records and Shield Recordings that compiles all three of the band’s seven-inches as well as their cover of Dinosaur Jr.’s “Budge.” The collection will also appear on cassette via Summer Darling Tapes.

The band also shares another brand-new single from the EP, “Amusement.”

Vocalist John Wilkerson says, “This song is a nonsequitur ramble that hates on the world in front of us. Who is Banksy? What will he do next that’s crazy and wild? Tomatoes thrown at priceless art gets jail time. Dog paints masterpiece. Waiting for the next big thing. Waiting for the next war. Banana taped to wall sells for millions; buyer eats banana. Dead children’s art litters the rubble of destroyed schools in war-torn countries. Are you amused?”

Catch the band live on January 18 at Swan Dive in Portland, Oregon, with Vacant Valley and The Shitfits
