Welcome to the working week, rockers! This week, let’s kick things off with something a little unhinged. Gassed are a hardcore band out of Queens, New York. Their debut LP Mental comes out tomorrow on Uprising Records, so let’s take a look at the single “The Hand” off the new album.
“The Hand” is a short-and-sweet burst of pure chaos with all the energy of ’80s hardcore, including the part where it sounds like it was recorded in someone’s basement. That’s always where the best punk comes from. With some innovative tempo changes, “The Hand” becomes a dynamic song that promises one hell of a debut album when it drops tomorrow. Check out the single below.
