Hail and well met, traveler. We are thrilled to offer you a stay at the Weekend Inn for the low, low price of three shillings. Tonight’s tavern bards/Today’s New Noise are Sacramento post-emo band Tororo! who recently released a single titled “10%” from an upcoming EP.
“10%” showcases Tororo!’s signature mix of Midwest emo guitar riffs, melodic vocals, harsh screams, and syncopated drums. Despite having only released a handful of singles, Tororo! have gained a loyal following in their local scene for their explosive live performances and unique yet nostalgic sound, combining math rock rhythms with hooky harmonies. The band have also opened for several well-known acts, including A Lot Like Birds, Thomas Erak, and He Is Legend. Tororo! will likely appeal to fans of other contemporary emo groups adding their own spin on the genre, like Aren’t We Amphibians, Like Roses, and Microwave.
Tororo! will release their self-titled debut EP on September 18, so be sure to keep an eye on social media for updates.
