Video Premiere: Bleary Eyed – ‘Caterpillar’

Bleary Eyed

Bleary Eyed are unveiling their new video, “Caterpillar,” from their album, Guise.

Nathaniel Salfi is the powerhouse behind the Philadelphia-based band, originally from Washington, D.C. He write all of the songs, and the more recent record, Guise, was recorded in quarantine, self-produced at home, with some songs dating back a few years and some brand new.

It was a coming-of-age record that showed the band’s progress, mixed by Sachi Diserafino of Joy Again, which helped to bring some of the newer pop production to the forefront.

According to a quote provided by the band, “This video ‘Caterpillar’ features Nathaniel chasing the Caterpillar costume which can be reminiscent of someone losing someone close but never catching up or getting them back. This is thematically echoed in the lyrics of the track as well. ”
