SOMBRA’s new video for “all my friends are animals” takes a long look at human nature.

“All my friends are animals” was one of the first tracks that I wrote in this form of SOMBRA,” he says. “It’s always been a weird one because it’s kind of an eerie way of talking about self-restraint as something that separates humans from other animals. Most of the music I write tends to have a lot of different parts and sections, but with this one, it was way more minimal—starting with a base melody and building gradually. I didn’t want to take it too far from its starting point but wanted to find a groove you could kind of get lost in.”
The song hits hard, and the video takes us through emotions we often shove down or overlook. Hooks soar and carry us through the deep, emotional content of the song. The very beginning of SOMBRA’s career looks solid, and we can’t wait to hear more from this up-and-coming artist.
