Toronto-based Wine Lips have just announced their newest, full-length LP, Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party, a collection of psych-rock bangers drawing influence from bands like The Hives, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, and Arctic Monkeys. As part of a small collection of singles and videos the band are unveiling ahead of the new record, Wine Lips are sharing their new track and video, “The Clear.”
Popping on the jam and hearing Cam Hilborn’s fierce vocals call to mind the band’s wild and energetic, live shows. They first hit the stage back in 2015, and following years of growing together and honing in on their sound, they released their most recent LP, Stressor, in March 2019 followed by a North American tour that wrapped just before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold of the world.
The band used that time in 2020 to write and record their third record, which they are finally ready to share with the world.
