Mother Destruction is the latest full length from Italian dark ambient, drone, and industrial artist Antonine A., otherwise known as Empty Chalice.
“This album is dedicated to those who have lost their way and who, with sacrifice and scars, are retracing the path of the oldest fairy tale: returning home,” Antoine said.
While its first sounds and ideas were born during the winter of 2017, the project took shape over the next six months as Antoine enlisted Belgian musician Ashtoreth, American duo Rare Form, and Italian project Kurgan Hors to create additional work for him to sample and manipulate.
The result is a cold, dark work evoking its original winter inception. The record is out today via the Italian label Toten Schwan.
