Melted Bodies are a metal band from Los Angeles, California.
The band are putting out a new EP on November 25 called The Inevitable Fork Vol. 1 which will be the first of three Eps the band will later be turning into a full-length album next year. The first single off the new EP is called “Therapy,” and it’s available on the band’s Bandcamp page.
For a self-described metal band, the single sure sounds more like electro-punk. The singer’s voice sounds like a combination of Jello Biafra and Serj Tankian with just a touch of Mike Patton, as it warbles nasally with an attempt of snotty sarcasm. Musically the song takes a lot of unusual twists and turns, like the poppy harmonizing halfway through the song and again towards the end. Then to make things especially weird, the song goes on for a full two minutes after its natural conclusion to give you another dose of electric noise and screaming. It’s a highly unique track that’s unlike anything else you’ve heard in metal.
