News: Mike & The Nerve Release New Song ‘Grace’

Mike & the Nerve

Indie punk band Mike & the Nerve release a soaring new track titled “Grace.” The massive song is accompanied by creative, lyric video.

“A song about someone who has lost their way in life finding redemption in something: a significant other, a friend, family, activism, passion, sobriety, religion—someone or something that uplifts you and gives you purpose and meaning that you didn’t have before,” frontman Mike Llerena says.

“Grace” is the next move in the band’s series of stellar song releases. Mike & the Nerve released two of its most popular songs, “Fool’s Gold, False Idols” and “The Last Day of Summer” earlier this year.

“After releasing our two previous songs … We wanted to continue introducing new elements to our core sound,” Llerena continues.

“Grace” is a perfectly executed, skate-park ready track. Stuffed with scene bells and whistles, like the catchy “oh woh ohs” and acoustic moments, the song adds something new to the indie punk landscape.

“The big sing-along choruses and fast guitar solos are still there, but we really enjoyed adding piano and some additional acoustic elements to broaden the sound.”

The Florida band have a handful of big shows on the horizon, including a performance at the well known, Gainesville club High Dive. Watch out for them here.
