The Brooklyn rockers, 45 Adapters, have released a new single, “Refuse To Die” from their upcoming album, Unstoppable. This will be the second track off of this album to be released, the first being the title track “Unstoppable.”

Stream “Refuse To Die” here.

“Refuse To Die” serves as a reflection track for the frontman, Pickabar, during which he grapples with the positives and negatives of the skinhead subculture that he has been a part of for the last 30 years. Pickabar now understands that during the three decades spent within the subculture, it has evolved to his delight, whilst noting how peaceful it is.

Pickabar on “Refuse To Die”:

“It’s been a massive part of my life, my friendships, this band. However, skinhead is complicated, and I think there’s no shame in admitting the best and worst parts of the subcultures instead of mythologizing it as some kind of volunteer group or something.”

45 Adapters have already released the title track of their upcoming album, and it was one of the first tracks written after their previous release, “Now or Never.” For the release of Unstoppable, the vocalist, Pickabar and the bassist, Carlos have recruited three new members to help revitalize the band. Pickabar expounds on his thoughts on being a lifer in the skinhead subculture, interpersonal relationships and life overall on a few other tracks, including “But I Can’t” and “Are You Down?.”

Unstoppable is now available for pre-order within three versions: 12-inch Black Ice Vinyl with white splatter, 12-inch black ice vinyl with silver glitter, and classic 12-inch black vinyl. You can get your copy here.
