News: Bad Time Records Launch Offshoot Label

Uncle Style Records

Since their conception in 2018 by Mike Sosinski, Bad Time Records have been a label focused on supporting the current generation of punk and ska bands. Now, the label are ready to expand that aim with Sosinski’s latest project, Uncle Style Records.

The new offshoot aims to be more loose in terms of genre, yet still focusing on punk and punk adjacent bands. Hell Beach, Brace Face, Eat Defeat, and Boardroom Heroes have been announced as the first label bands.

Of the label Sosinski says,”I started Bad Time Records five years ago to give a platform to ska and ska punk bands who had never had a platform… In doing that, one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that I just love running a label and working with my friends to get their music heard. While I will always support, uplift, and work my hardest for those who need the help in the ska scene… Isn’t it a shame that I have to exclude some wonderful folks from this community purely because of their genre?  To be 100% clear, Bad Time Records will always be a ska and ska-punk label, period. Ska defines me as a person, and I will never turn my back on ska. But for everything else… There’s Uncle Style.  And I am so excited to see where that takes us.”

The label has announced a vinyl release of Brace Face’s LP Don’t Lose Your Dinosaur and a streaming release on September 1, plus a digital self-titled EP from Hell Beach on August 18.
