News: Common Sage Announces New EP: ‘Nostos I Algos’

Brooklyn’s post-hardcore band Common Sage have announced they’re putting out a new EP, Nostos | Algos, on July 24 via Equal Vision Records. They have also released the first single from the EP, “Edin” and a music video to accompany. In addition to all of this they are going to be playing at the Amityville Music Hall with Inside, Private Mind and Playing Dead on July 7.

If there’s any band that can help revitalize post-hardcore in this period of time, it’d be Common Sage.  They show it with their new EP, Nostos | Algos, and track, “Edin.” It was produced and mixed by Brett Romnes, mastered by Mike Kalijian, and it features Geoff Rickly and Steve Pedula of the post-hardcore band, Thursday. It features an encapsulation of soaring choruses mixed with contemplative verses and infectious melodies that are heightened by these well-placed cameos.

Their quest has never waivered from trying to create something vital and it shows within Rosen’s lyrics as it shows him digging into a deeper meaning and message. The mix of honesty and vulnerability that is shown within the EP, lies at the core of their music.
