Reed Mullin, co-founder and drummer for one of the most iconic hardcore bands, Corrosion of Conformity, was found dead at the age of 53.
Mullin’s bandmates confirmed his passing through social media last night, announcing the following: “Reed, It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a friend, a brother, and pioneer. Reed Mullin co-founded Corrosion of Conformity in 1982 with bassist Mike Dean and guitarist Woody Weatherman. They became one of the most influential hardcore/metal bands in the scene.
Corrosion of Conformity’s latest album was released in 2018, No Cross No Crown, and it was the band’s first studio album in over a decade.
