In their ten years as a band, Deafheaven have made quite the splash in the black metal community and the metal world as a whole. They’ve gone from a demo on Bandcamp, to a Grammy nomination, and to celebrate this fruitful tenure, the band will embark on a 36-date headlining North American tour aptly named 10 Years Gone.

Starting March 20 in Salt Lake City, UT and concluding May 2 in Vancouver BC, they will be directly supported by Inter Arma, with Greet Death and All your Sisters joining on select dates.

Formed in San Francisco in 2010, Deafheaven would quickly garner international acclaim with their sophomore full length, 2013’s Sunbather. This album challenged convention and genre boundaries and played a pivotal part in the evolution of modern-day black metal.

Their third album New Bermuda (2015) followed up to equal acclaim. In 2018, the band earned their first Grammy nomination for “Honeycomb,” the lead single off their fourth studio album Ordinary Human Corrupt Love in the Best Metal Performance category.

“Come 2020, it’ll be ten years since we released the Deafheaven demo on Bandcamp. To commemorate this, we’re planning special sets that include songs from all our albums,” explains vocalist George Clarke. “Joining us will be the great Inter Arma as well as Greet Death and All Your Sisters, two bands we’re excited about from Deathwish Inc. and The Flenser, the labels that supported us early on. We are very much looking forward to this last tour of the States before hibernating to work on new music. See you then.”
