Happy Friday, rockers! Broadway Calls are a pop punk band out of Rainier, Oregon. They dropped their new EP Coming After You! today on Red Scare Industries and it’s streaming right now on their Bandcamp.
The EP opens on the title track with its jangly guitars and gorgeous, soaring pop melodies that make for one of the most upbeat punk tracks you’ve heard in a while. Then “A Little Shake” has a glorious pop hook that’s accentuated by the spirited drumbeat that really gives the song its joyful energy. “Dead Before I Hit the Ground” is similarly catchy with similarly beautiful melodies, but stands out due to the roaring bass riffs. Finally “Dreamin’ (Castle Rock Version)” is more stark with just a guitar and a tambourine for percussion to create a poignant emo closer. This is a really fun EP that any pop punk fan is going to go wild for.
