Video Premiere: Doc Rotten – ‘Unite Resist’

Doc Rotten

New Jersey punk rock quart Doc Rotten are sharing the title track and video, “Unite Resist,” from their upcoming LP due March 22.

The band—Wes Bentley (vocals, guitar), AJ Martinez (drums), Andy Keris (lead guitar), and Doug Pombo (bass)—formed in Trenton, New Jersey in the winter of 2017, carrying on to record their debut EP, Fallout, after playing a few live shows together and establishing their sound. They moved forward to released their second EP, Sick and Suffering, six months later, followed by their third, Illusion To Choose, which took them all over the world, including to Japan, Europe, and Canada.

The 16 tracks of raw punk rock chronicles the frustrations people face when they realize the government ultimately isn’t serving them, with the title track taking center stage in exploring these themes.

Bentley talks more about the track:

“The song is about being at the end of your rope when realizing your government doesn’t serve its citizens but serves special interests and themselves and how these corporations are ruining society and creating poverty. The only way to fix this is to unite together, let your voices be heard, and not comply, stop acquiescing, simply say no in nonviolent civil disobedience.”
