Jersey City post-punk artists Neon Funeral combine their darkwave sound with metal-style screaming vocals. Their latest EP is called Banned from the Goth Club and it comes out today via Cleopatra Records. The album’s title refers to the contradiction in their sound: they find themselves to often be too aggressive for the goth crowd and too dancey for the metalheads. Today we’re spotlighting the band’s music video for their single “Avolition.” Directed by Jarrett Allen, the video features the band rocking out to their song in the middle of an arcade amidst dim, moody lighting.
