Hailing from Doylestown, PA, Balance and Composure have been dormant for the past few years, until last month when they shared their first release since 2017. That release is the band’s two song EP Too Quick to Save, which includes tracks “Savior Mode” and “Last to Know.” Adding to the excitement, the band also shared a video in accompaniment to “Last to Know.”
Balance and Composure also recently signed to famous producer Will Yip’s label Memory Music. With their new release, the band are exposing a new era, one where they feel more assured in their sound and creative vision. The video, directed by Dessie Jackson, is an example of this, with mixed media imagery that gets at the vulnerability of the track.
Of the video, guitarist and vocalist Jon Simmons says, “Dessie is the most talented person I know and my favorite artist. I am so amazed at what she created here. I was quite nervous to tell her the song is six and a half minutes long, but she was eager to take on the challenge. I was blown away when she showed me the final product.”
In celebration of their return to music, the band will be playing their first live performances since 2019, with tickets still available for the Los Angeles and New York shows.
