Video Premiere: FOXERA – “Way Out”

Splitting time between multiple states while simultaneously navigating a global pandemic wasn’t going to stop this project from happening. The up and coming post-hardcore act, Foxera is making an impact on the rebirth of the scene, releasing hook and sinker singles left and right and they have done it again with their newest release, “Way Out.” The track chronicles the struggle of letting a toxic relationship go and identifying the signs and strength you need to be free, something a lot of have gone through in our lives.

“It’s definitely a learning experience,” shares vocalist Michael Swank. “I think it was a cool thing for us to visit and write about just because we did have very intense experiences with that and now we’re on the other side of it so it’s definitely cool getting out on paper and having an audit, an audio representation of those feelings.”

“We tried to think subjectively from an outside point, looking in on the song,” explains guitarist Julian Witt, “What [do] we want people to get out of this song? What message are we sending here? We’re talking about an experience, but at the same time, we still wanted to give some hope because I think we both have learned a lot from that experience and would hope that maybe the song can help someone have hope if they’re in that situation.”

The group is onto big things having already enlisted Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens (Away From Me) and Tillian of Dance Gavin Dance (Memories) for epic features. Keep an eye out for new material on the horizon. It’s sure to keep turning heads.

FOXERA is: Michael Swank (Vocals) / Erick Cuellar (Guitar) / Michael Cuellar (Drums) / Julian Witt (Guitar)
